Welcome to all Blue Ridge School parents! This is going to be an exciting year in the life of Blue Ridge School and the lives of our young men, when we will celebrate the past, present, and future of Blue Ridge School.
Our Mission
The role of the Blue Ridge School Parents' Association is to connect home and school, in support of Blue Ridge School's mission to "teach boys to reach."
We provide morale boosting activities — like birthday cakes, special events, and dorm celebrations for the boys — and keep parents and families in the loop through emails, letters, meetings, and this Web site. We also provide hands-on help at the school for fun activities like the Casino Night. Our main fundraising activity is the Silent Auction, but we accept monetary and in-kind donations all year round.

No matter where you live, parents and other familiy members can still be involved in the life of your son at Blue Ridge. Please join us!

The Blue Ridge School Parents' Association wishes to thank everyone who donated, bid, and won items and services during this year's Silent Auction.
While we're still tallying eveything, we
know that this year's auction has broken
all records from previous years.
Many thanks go the Maryann and Max Ruehrmund (Max '09) who co-chaired the Silent Auction, and Craig and Michaela Carlini (Michael '10) who co-chaired Acquisitions.
We are also grateful to the many parents who volunteered before, during, and after the Silent Auction to make it a great event.

If you are new to boarding schools or Blue Ridge, you probably have a few questions. Click here to send your questions to Deb Newgaard (Drew '09).
Question: How can I find contact information for Blue Ridge parents?
Answer:
All parents are listed on RenWeb, which is linked on every page of this site.
To access the information you must sign in using the email address you submitted to BRS. The school ID is: BRS-VA. Once you fill out the form, you will be provided a password. When you sign on, you'll be able to look up parents by name and/or the year the student graduates.
Question: I haven't heard from my son in awhile. Is that normal?
Answer: Yes. Blue Ridge School is a world unto itself, and your son is busy morning 'til night.
Most parents find that they will hear from their sons when they need something. Also, most of the boys use email as their main form of communication, so if they won't answer their dorm or cell phones (FYI, cell phones don't work too well on the mountain), try emailing your son.
If you are desperate to know if your son is OK, feel free to call the school, and more specifically, your son's advisor.
